I am a Family Therapist specialised in Childhood and Adolescence with over 20 years of experience supporting families in the emotional and psychological development of their children. My extensive training in various fields enables me to tailor care to the individual needs of each child without generalising. Every child or teenager requires close and personalised attention.
“A change in perspective can help untangle situations that cause discomfort in the daily lives of many families” Caring is about accompanying growth.
My professional career has focused on children’s and youth mental health. I have worked for over 20 years in hospitalisation centres, day hospitals, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Centres (known as CSMIJ in Spain) at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, where I have had the opportunity to support families throughout the process of emotional and psychological development.
My approach is based on creating natural and spontaneous connections during daily activities—a key aspect of my family interventions. These interactions are fundamental to the emotional well-being of the children and their families.
Throughout my career, my curiosity to provide more comprehensive support has led me to specialise in Nutrition as well, which enables me to work integrally with families facing eating disorders (ED) or food sensitivities associated with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), among others.
Another pillar of my work is the use of Mindfulness as a tool to help children, teenagers, and adults to pause, observe, and focus their attention, especially on something as essential as breathing. This technique has been key for many of my patients in improving their emotional well-being.
Supporting families in their journey towards growth and well-being is my main motivation, which is why sharing my professional and personal experience in the very special setting of Calma de Mar is a project that excites me deeply.
As soon as we can, we will get in touch with you to give you the support you need.
